Pen and Ink drawing I did this last year of the skull of a 28-year-old (Croatian?) man who was apparently killed by a blow to the head. This is an epoxy plastic copy purchased from Maxilla and Mandible in New York City, near the Natural History Museum.

Alex Simon Group at Ceol

I heard the Alex Simon Group playing “Gypsy Jazz” last night at Ceol, my favorite Irish Pub, on Smith Street in Brooklyn.  Their version of  “Bouncing Around,” (first recorded by Django Reinhardt) is one of the best I’ve heard; their guitars even resemble the Maccaferi that Django liked to play:
